FAIMS Pro™ Interface

Description

The FAIMS Pro™ interface (High-Field Asymmetric Waveform Ion Mobility Spectrometry) is used to separate ions at the entry of the mass spectrometer. Its use reduces interference, improves sample dynamic range, and enhances the accuracy of multiplexed quantitative analyses.

At the PPM, this interface can be coupled with the Exploris 480 mass spectrometer (Thermo Fisher Scientific).

Applications

FAIMS is particularly well suited for:

• Analyses from low amounts of material (noise reduction)
• TMT-labeled samples (reduced co-fragmentation)
