SIMOA HD-X (Quanterix)

Description

Based on a novel and breakthrough technology, the SIMOA (Single Molecule Array, Quanterix) enables ultra-sensitive digital ELISA quantification through immunocapture using paramagnetic beads. This technology is up to 1,000 times more sensitive than conventional analog ELISA-based protein detection methods. The system is both multiplexable and customizable.

Applications

• Detection of single labeled molecules (cf. the list of analytes quantifiable in simplex or multiplex using the SIMOA system)

Quantification can be performed on human or murine biological fluids, as well as on cell culture samples

Requirements / Constraints

• Sample volume requirements may be higher than with some other technologies.
• Certain sample types have not been validated by Quanterix R&D and therefore require preliminary testing (detection and dilution).
• Services are limited to analytes for which kits are already available. Development of new SIMOA assays is possible but requires significant optimization and must be part of a large-scale R&D project.
