Synapt G2-Si HDMS Mass Spectrometer
Description
The Q-TOF Synapt G2-Si HDMS (Waters), modified for high-mass analysis and coupled with ion mobility and hydrogen/deuterium exchange, enables the study of protein–protein and ligand–protein interactions as well as their structural dynamics under native conditions.
Commissioned in 2020.
Applications
- Analysis of protein complexes by native mass spectrometry (composition, stoichiometry, interactions)
- Identification of interaction sites and conformational changes using hydrogen/deuterium exchange (HDX)
Requirements / Constraints
This instrument is not open access
Funding
This equipment received over €1 million in funding from the Occitanie Region (ERDF-ESF-IEJ Operational Programme Languedoc-Roussillon 2014–2020), the iSITE Montpellier University of Excellence (MUSE), and the LABEX EpigenMed. The project was carried out jointly by the IGF (Sébastien Granier’s team), the UAR BioCampus Montpellier, the FPP platform, and a private company (ABIVAX).
