Activities : Your Project
The procedures for initiating and conducting a proteomics project at the PPM are the same across all platforms.
- 1
First Contact
To submit a project, please contact directly the site that best corresponds to the requested service, providing a brief description of your request.
- 2
Project Feasibility Assessment
A meeting with platform staff will be scheduled as soon as possible to discuss:
The technical feasibility of the project
The optimal strategies and techniques to be used
The types of services the platform can provideDuring these discussions, project funding and the nature of the collaboration (service provision or research partnership) will also be defined according to the PPM charter.
The time required to complete a project varies depending on the type of service requested.
Project selection is based exclusively on technical feasibility and the availability of funding appropriate for the requested analyses.
- 3
Project Initiation
The project begins once the charter and meeting report have been approved.
- 4
Project Execution
The platform will carry out the necessary steps for your project, with regular exchanges regarding:
Sample preparation*
Data acquisition
Relevant data analysis and support for subsequent valorisation of resultsBilling will be in accordance with the rates applicable on each platform.

Activities : Training
The PPM organizes training programs related to its areas of expertise, including technological workshops and thematic schools. These programs are designed for the scientific community seeking to acquire knowledge and practical skills to select the most appropriate proteomic analysis methods, as well as to reprocess and validate proteomic data.
Additionally, PPM staff are actively involved in teaching, particularly in master’s-level programs (approximately 100 hours/year). The platform regularly hosts undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students for extended periods (over 3 months), sometimes within the framework of joint PhD supervision with collaborating teams.
